I'm Saga (pictured center)

I’m a journalist and editor originally from Oregon and based in Berlin.

After studying Creative Writing at Oberlin College, I lived for two years in Portland, Oregon before traveling the world as a digital nomad until 2018. From 2013 to 2018, I pet sat for over fifty home owners in twenty different nations, including Australia, New Zealand, Turkey, Spain, Portugal, England, Scotland, Ireland, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Canada, Japan, France, Cyprus, Germany, and the Netherlands. Along the way, I earned a postgraduate degree in the psychology and neuroscience of mental health from King’s College London. Berlin has been my home since 2018.

I’ve served as managing editor for InformED, a digital magazine connecting teachers and students with educational psychology research; staff writer and editor for the MIND European Foundation for Psychedelic Science; and associate editor, editorial assistant, and editorial intern for Night Owls Press, Dancing Moon Press, and Tin House Books, respectively.

Interviews about my work can be found on Psychedelics Today, the Rose Woman Podcast, and Inner Sense Channel.
